JUNIOR CHESS UPDATE 24 MAY 2025
BANK HOLIDAY AND HALF TERM WEEK
- 23 Juniors came along to learn and enjoy chess.
1st Session
- Beginner Willow continued along with several other beginners which Paul managed very well to cover for Steve. Really good effort with 6 beginners in the 2nd session. I hope they enjoyed the lessons.
- Tony had his usual full house with the advanced group and Nicolas had a good win in a tight fought match vs Nathanial.
- Eric spent time with Harvey going through a standard Sicilian defence showing all the strengths and weaknesses.
- Martin took a compliment of 5 to review and go through various level of puzzles – mates in 1/2/3…..







2nd session
>Eric went through a few basics with newcomer Hektor who went on to win his 1st game in the ladder board.
>Martin carried on with the puzzle group of Zayeen/Nicholas and Carlo.>
