JUNIOR CHESS UPDATE 22/3/25
It was a pleasure to meet and greet and so many juniors and parents yesterday as chess seems to be on the increase in our area.
We welcomed Advik and Anthony for the 1st visit and another newcomer Josh will be starting next week. There were other enquiries from other potential interested parties so maybe with the coverage of the recent BBC programme – Chess the Endgame currently showing this is giving a wider interest which we welcome.
Anthony our new comer gave me a note when he arrived ‘ Hello, my name is Anthony and I am really into chess and I really want to learn and play better’ unquote. Lovely – thank you Anthony and I am sure you will be a better player in no time at all.
We had a total of 30 Juniors than played chess at the club yesterday, see pictures in the conference room…..
