What a fantastic morning! We had 18 young players join us for a high-energy, fast-paced Lightning Event featuring a buzzer time control of a move every 7 seconds.
A huge shout-out to Graham, our tech expert, for managing a nervy 30 minutes of setup before the games kicked off to make the buzzer technology work perfectly, and to Eric for keeping everything under control as tournament controller.
Meanwhile, Steve provided expert coaching on the side to Clark and Isaac, who are both doing brilliantly as beginners.
The event ran as an all-play-all competition across two distinct sessions. Everyone embraced the rapid time control with fantastic sportsmanship! While it was all-play-all, cash prizes were awarded to the top players across 6 different sections. Congratulations to all our winners: Nicolas, Ram, Kit, Omer, Emmanuel, and Manvik!
