BOURNEMOUTH JUNIOR CHESS CLUB – 10 MAY 2025
On a warm and sunny day we had the pleasure of 23 Juniors who came along to play and enjoy chess.
We welcomed back Manvik a little older now and Willow for their 1st time in the beginners section.
Tony went through his usual and varied selection of puzzles for the 1st session advanced group which Harvey and Markas joined in too. All the 7 regulars enjoy puzzles and we hope the pattern recognition helps them to see mates in 2/3 and more in their own games.
Steve spent time with beginners Manvik/Willow/Nilay and Liam. Nilay is progressing well now and this is reflected in some of her games., well done Nilay.
Eric went through a middle game with Kit and took the game into some depth to show him the ways to exploit the opposition – he is advancing very well which is great
In the 2nd session Martin used the display board to go through puzzles with Alfie/Zayeen/Arthur and Carlo.

P1 – White to play and win…

No real surprises with wins for Nathanial/Peter and Nicholas and Pavina in the Intermediate section.
