End of Term Competition
26 competitors took part in our Summer 2025 end of term competition, split into Major and Minor sections. We were pleased to welcome guests from Ferndown Junior club. All games were played at 10-minute time control over 5 rounds.
Major Section
- 1st: Peter (4.5/5) — medal and cash prize
- 2nd (tied): Nicolas and Rafan (4/5) — medals and cash prizes
- Also scoring well: Nicholas, Arthur, Nathanial, Sam (3/5 each)
Minor Section
- 1st: Gagan from Ferndown (5/5 maximum!) — medal and cash prize
- 2nd (shared): Kit, Nirvan, Eden from Ferndown (3/5) — medals and cash prizes

All competitors received certificates. Over 60 parents and guardians attended the prizegiving, with average weekly attendance of 25 players. Many thanks to Paul, Martin, Graham Morris, and Dee for their support throughout the term.
