JUNIOR CHESS UPDATE

7 JUNE 2025

• We had an enjoyable junior chess club with 20 juniors coming along to learn and play chess.
• Some we returning after the half term and bank holiday so upwards and onwards during June and towards the end of term and sessions on the 19/7- just 6 weeks to go.
• Tony went through his array of puzzles to Peter/Nicolas/Tristan and Nathanial.
• Eric and Paul reviewed middle games techniques with 6 regular juniors and we hope this helps them within their own games.
• Steve had the benefit of Kit just 6 years old and is more than a beginner but struggling a little in the intermediates, just experience and playing will help and we are sure he will develop very well.
• 2^nd session advanced was covered by Tony who gave 4 players a simul
• Paul went through middle game techniques with Hektor who seems to be progressing well
• Eric spent time with Holly and Koko.
• Steve had his hands full with Nilay, Manvik and Mariella.
