At the start of half term we still had the pleasure to welcome 16 juniors who came along to learn and play chess.

This allowed our coaches to have smaller groups and one to one sessions.

Graham took the advanced group in Tony’s absence who went through a variety of puzzles to solve. The group did well and nearly all found the solutions, the continued progress is great to see.

Steve had a one to one with Erin who is a beginner and Andres in the 2^nd session.

Eric/Paul and Martin took the intermediates of Markas/Harvey/Nirvan Liam in the 1^st session and Niley/Koko/Mariella and Manvik in the 2^nd session. I hope these small group sessions help the juniors to do well in their games.

Kautum has taken the lead with 8 pts in the Advanced group with Peter and Nicolas in close pursuist.

Harvey has taken the lead with 7 pts in the Intermediate section, Nirvan has 6 points.

Nilay has taken the lead in the 2^nd session intermediate section with Andres the best in the beginners section.

We are open next week and all Saturday’s through to Xmas and look forward to seeing you all next week or sometime in the future.
