We had an enjoyable morning of junior chess coaching and lessons yesterday with 20 juniors coming along over our 2 sessions.

We welcomed Emily here for the 1st time and it was great to see her taking her game so seriously and with commitment.

Peter returned for his 2nd session and is doing well in our advanced group.

Tony with a full compliment of 8 juniors reviewed an endgame study – https://youtu.be/mhUoe2JBxco?si=8EODiZ_P07bSdLOQ

Steve/Azhar/Paul and Eric allocated their individually to coach our intermediates and beginners and it was really good to be able to give as many one to one lessons as possible in this group.

Martin went through a game with Neil (another one to one) see attached in the 2nd advanced session. The game can be viewed here at the top – https://www.bournemouthjuniorchess.com/games/

In the intermediate section endgames being the theme of the day where possible were reviewed with Arthur and Alfie but also we were pleased to see the return of Alfie and Victor.

Well done Amalee in committing everything against Azhar in an exciting game and staying behind after time to complete the game – shows real commitment.

The 2nd round of the ladder board took place and there were good wins for:

Harry/Peter/Max/Harish/Carlo/Arthur and Victor.

A special mention to Neil who played an excellent game against Eric and was only defeated by a minor error.

Many thanks to our team of coaches, namely, Steve/Paul/Azhar/Tony and Martin for coming along and supporting our club.
